During the past 30 years in Sonoma County,California, I have had the opportunity to observe the local area high school coaches and my conclusions are as follows:
1. Professional and "human".
2. Dedicated teachers of the game.
3. Competitive and at the same time, show patience with the players.
4. Ability to interact successfully with the parents.
5. Place a priority on education.
There is a "common tread".
Many of the Sonoma County coaches are graduates from Sonoma State U.and played for John Goelz [900 wins this year].
