I just wanted to congratulate a former teammate on his first call up to the bigs. Chris Basak of Minooka (class of 97) was called up by the Yankees yesterday.

After Minooka, he went on to a successful career at University of Illinois and was drafted by the MEts in the 6th round after his junior year. After years in the minors, he was signed by the Yanks this previous off season.

Congrats Chris! We all knew you would make it. It shows what hard work will do for you.
