Today my son signed a NLI to play baseball at Austin Peay State University. This has been his dream school since HS, but he knew he needed to go to a juco and GROW UP!! He put in the work and hopefully it will pay off for him at APSU.

I want to thank Bob for this site because without it we would not have known where to start in this recruiting process, some 4 and half years ago. I have met several posters and have made some of the dearest friendships that a person could hope to have. When I came upon this site I had no idea what a showcase, juco, jr day, NLI, scout, July 1, D1, clearinghouse, and etc..... was, but because of this site I have lead several others to know and enjoy this site and experience the process of recruiting.

By reading this site and following the info provided, my son went thru 4 yrs a varsity player, 2 yrs juco and now signed his NLI at his dream school. I know it had allot to do with Matt and his work ethic but without this site we wouldn't have known what to do with that talent.

I don't usually have allot to say when I post so sorry for carrying on but I just want to thank those of you( don't want to try and name them all I'll forget someone) that have offered advice, listened when I fretted, prayed when Matt was injured, checked on things when you'd catch me in the chat room, and most of all, that cared what was going on in my sons life.

Thanks Bob for this wonderful site and good luck in your future endeavors.

Lori,

How Great, I know and echo your feelings as well ! I have depended on this site for the past several years for advice and guidance to get my '05 in college ball, it worked ! Of course he worked hard and paid his dues like many other ones on here who made it.

I am a diehard fan of this place, it feels like home to me and even though I have met a few friends on here in person and talked to others, I have never met the majority of my friends on here. I will have terrible withdrawls should it go away.

I truly feel it will continue on, one way or another. It's just too darn good to fade away.

Good Luck to your son !

Lori, I've already told you and M. congratulations, but I'll do it again here. As I've told you, he's going to a great school and they're getting a great player.

Your post brings a tear to my eye. It is an exact example of the success and the blessings that people receive from this site. The friendships with each other, the encouragement and support, and the knowledge to help our sons be successful in baseball and out. You've given me personally much insight to the road from JUCO to 4 year.

Congratulations again and of course we'll keep in touch.
Thanks everyone for all the well wishes.

Now I get to figure out how to pay for this dream. I wish 4 yrs had the money juco's have.

Lafmom you too will experience the roller coaster ride again, but I can tell you when the decision is made the pride is well worth it all.

Fungo I do rememeber that first meeting.... Josh was throwing 92 in 32 degree weather, plus there were enough scouts there that night to hold the draft right there. Wink
