Has anyone heard of any tourneys or any such things in Japan during the summer? It would be an interesting things for our kids to see the Japanese way of playing the game and their approach. Thanks in advance.

We have played the Japan National Team since 1983 in the Goodwill Series events.
Over 40% of our American players have played in the Major Leagues.H. Matsui played twice in this series in 1991 and 1992 [Torii Hunter and Derrek Lee].
The Japanese High School conducts two National Tournaments in Osaka. The Spring Tournament of 32 teams and the Summer Tournament in August of 50 teams. Over 40 million watch the games on TV and 40,000 watch the games at Koshien Stadium in Osaka.
Our American Team will play the Japan Prefecture [State] team December 26 in the Olympic Stadium in Sydney.
June 2006, our American team [16-18 year old players] will travel to Japan for a 6 game series in Major League Stadiums. All our American players are referred by pro scouts or have traveled previously with our teams to Australia or China. Our coaches are pro scouts or former professional players.
