Jeremy Slayden out for season

I saw where he didn't play in the last game and wondered why. I wish this wasn't the reason.

I am sorry to hear the news. Lobo, do you know any more details? Can he med red shirt, does he want to? I wish him a speedy recovery and hope for a return.

I don't know anything more than what is on the posting. I know his dad, Gary. I will try to find out what I can. I really don't think he will need to redshirt. He is a junior with a good GPA. He will most likely get his degree next year and still be drafted. He would be draft eligible this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he was drafted anyway, but probably not a first or second round like he would have been.

The word here is that Jeremy is going to try and get a medical red-shirt. I have not talked to Gary myself but he has been to a few scrimmage games and that is where my info comes from. Jeremy was poised to have a great year. He will be in our prayers as well.

I talked with Gary yesterday at the MTSU game. He said Jeremy was down a little but the surgery was a sucess. The Doctor believes there is a 75% chance that he will play without pain. Jeremy did get the medical red shirt and is back in scool and was in the dougout yesterday.

That's good news. Jeremy is a nice young man.
