Son just got an invite in the mail to Joe Wladyka's Showcase in February over in E.Rutherford, NJ. Anyone ever attend this event and if so how would you rate it? Thanks.
Through the last few years, this question has been asked every year and it seems very few rate it as worthwhile. While exposure one time to the right observer can be a wonderful thing, Wladyka's Showcases haven't drawn many positive comments in the past.
Joe's showcases are well attended by colleges in the northeast, specifically, the NY, NJ, PA. schools. They are geared to pitchers and catchers if you are a position player I would not bother.
I got it too, the third wladyka ive received; think I might attend this one, it's not too expensive. Since I'm a pitcher, I'd like to at least get gunned. Anyone know the colleges that attend?
Most that go get a very accurate rating. Which is why a lot of parents don't like his showcases. (they seem to have a difference of opinion) Joe does talk about options if your rating isn't top of the line.
I went to the showcase over the summer and i have recieved alot of feed backs from colleges but being a big lefty pitcher that might make me an exception but none the less i felt it was worth it
