John Holdzkom Indy ball to MLB

John Holdzkom has to be the best story in baseball right now. Going from a couple of independent league teams to mlb in a couple of months is amazing.

He’s not just getting mop up time, the Pirates have been pitching him in clutch situations. Last night he comes in the 8^th inning of a 1-0 game. He has 8 appearances, 0 ERA, he was placed on the 40 man roster in time for post season consideration. I would sure like to see him in a NLCS game!

I saw him pitch against the red sox last week, he strolled out like he was throwing a bullpen. I have seen and heard a couple of interviews, he just seems to be taking it all in stride, no big deal to him.

He really stood out before heading to the bullpen at the game I was at. How many 6’7” pitchers do you see wearing a pink backpack?
