nc42dad,

Eric Horner (assistant coach) grew up right in our building and then went to work for us after graduating from college. He is very good especially with pitchers. He and coach Shelly have really turned that program around. They work hard and recruit hard. We are very familiar with JCCC.

FWIW, I have heard that Johnson County is one of the wealthiest counties in the entire midwest. Don't know if that's true or if it means all that much. Guessing it might mean the crime rate could be lower.
Great school, great baseball.
Johnson County CC is located in a very nice area of Overland Park, Kansas.
Lots to do. Many options.
As far as Junior Colleges go in Kansas, it is probably one of the newest with the most updated contemporary buildings/facililities.

The JCCC Cavaliers made it to the Juco World Series last year!! Smile

They have a great academic program as well and offer many services to assist the student/athlete. They do not have on-campus living facilities/dorms though, so the baseball players either commute or get together to share an apartment. I can't remember the cost figures of those apartments off the top of my head, but if you need them, please pm me and I will look through my son's files.
