My son was invited to pitch in the johnstown tourney this year.IS anybody here familiar with this event? The town seems one heartbeat from flatlining but I was told they basically shut the town down for this event..I would love any type of feedback if possible..are restaurants accessible if you are on the "team" bus..do they actually stay in a baseball "dorm" ..thanks in advance

Probably the AAABA tourney? If so, it has been around for decades and is a special event there. I can't add much more, but I grew up in Pittsburgh, and a couple of times (this was in the late 70s!) we went to Johnstown to see games at the stadium. It was a big deal then. Probably some good talent from NE/MidWest, but if you are looking for exposure (scouts, schools, etc.), I have no idea.
