Rumor has it that Josh not only was the winning pitcher AND hit two (2) homeruns against the University of Tennessee on Sunday ....... but that he personally made the post-game sandwiches and served beverages!

He would have driven the bus as well but he has not had time to get his CDL license, what with going to school and playing baseball and all.

How sweet it is !!!

While watching Josh pitch on tv today, I commented about how talented he was to catch some, DH, pitch, and then hit for himself while pitching. To which my wife replied, "Yeah, and he's a good looking boy too." I don't know how much that's going to help him in baseball, but it won't hurt him in other aspects of life to be able to win the women over that easily. Let's have the truth Fungo, does he get his looks from you or his mother? Wink
Congratulations to the Bell family, I know you're proud of him, Josh had a great game today.
Nothing I can do to really say how proud I am of Josh. Fungo, I know you enjoyed the trip.

Just a few quotes from the News Sentinel that I really liked today:
Auburn's Bell takes toll on UT

Bell's success was especially tough for UT coach Rod Delmonico.

Delmonico was full of compliments after the game but admitted his program didn't seriously recruit Bell, who was listed as one of Baseball America's top 10 high school catchers as a senior at Jackson North Side.

"My old assistant coach (Randy Mazey) didn't like him much," Delmonico said. "That's why he's my old assistant coach."

Gee,
All along I thought the head coach was the man when it came to recruiting. Wink

Interesting...

I was talking to a parent of a UT player who had played with Josh in the summer. He related that Josh would've liked to have played here.

He looks good in Auburn blue.

For those who didn't see it, his first home run was an absolute cannon shot. It may have made the street behind the second outfield fence.
This statement proves everything Bob, Hiwassee, and I have been saying for the last 4 years. Josh Bell did what we have been saying was going to happen and the Vols admit they didn’t really try to sign him. We are not Vol Haters like some have suggested but Supporters of the top Tennessee Talent who have been given the cold shoulder. I sure hope this changes some minds in Knoxville. If not, they made there bed and can lay in it.

Everyone lives with the decisions they make and they messed up because Josh Bell would have gone to Tennessee if they had given him a fair shake.

I am very proud of Josh. He is one of finest young men you will ever meet and so is his dad.

For all the people who gave me **** for telling the truth

Here's your sign!!!!!!!!!! pull_hair
