I was at a batting cage last night getting ready for a game against southern high school the next day. A guy that likes to help me sometimes for free was in their throwing to me, and then he starts talking to this guy. It was Josh Hamilton the first round overall pick one year outta high school. So anyway he actually was good friends with the guy I was working with in High School, so Josh worked in with me. It was awesome.

Josh Hamilton was the first pick of the 1999 draft. From what I understand he is still under suspension by Major League Baseball for drug use violations.

I say this because I hope you'd look up to the guy who was donating his time by throwing you batting practice more than you would idolize a convicted drug addict. The guy who has helped you for free sees something in you and you obviously respect that guy. He is much more of a role model than Hamilton. Just because he was drafted does not make Hamilton the type of person to idolize.

IMHO
