I'm finding conflicting information, so I'm hoping someone with experience can help clarify.

It's my understanding that a D-I JUCO can offer 24 full-ride scholarships. These include tuition/fees, books, and housing (on-campus or off-campus if they do not have housing).

I am also finding information that says that NJCAA D-I schools cannot divide the scholarships, that they are head count.

Many thanks!

Unless things have changed, the NJCAA programs I am familiar with can divide scholarships between Tuition/Books and Room/Utilities and a food allowance.

In Florida a full ride is Tuition, Books, Housing including a set dollar amount for Utilities and a set dollar amount for Food.

If a player qualifies for the state sponsored academic money, he gets to pocket that for living expenses.

The NJCAA allows up to 24 scholarships. It is different from state to state and also school to school on how much a program is allowed to give depending on their's schools budget. Junior colleges don't have much money so most do not give everything out that is allowed (books, tuition, fees, housing, meal plan). They will usually cover most but not all. In Florida, the state associtation only allows for 18 scholarships out of the nationally allowed 24. You just have to contact schools and see the diferences for yourself.
