Ask your son,
Do you like the school?
Do you want to spend two years of your life here?
Is there or do you need the academic support provided by this school?
Do you feel that the program can get you to your next goal?
Do you feel valued by the coach and staff?
Do you feel you can compete at this level?
then ask yourself
Can I afford this without baseball?
I think if you focus on the right questions your initial question wont matter so much.
Very good points playfair!
My suggestion would be not to personalize it. The offer is a combination of things. For instance, a low offer may not mean that they are not thrilled with your son's ability, it might mean that is all they have to offer at the present time
Any offer is a good one imho as that is a true indicator that someone values your son's ability. You can accept it and/or also use it to build into potentially other opportunities. Either way, getting an offer is the first step to further evaluation as playfair so aptly points out.
