Too many players seem to be of the mind set that they have to go to a D1 school.

There are some compelling reasons why JUCO is a good route for some.

1. Your current goal is professional baseball, not college.

2. Your an average student who doesn't want to be overwhelmed on your first living on your own experience.

3. Financial reasons.. 2 Years at a JUCO with a 100% scholarship then 50% at a D1 = 75%.

4. While you receievd D1 offers, they weren't from the school you really want to play at. Most likely you can still go to the school who recruited you in 1 or 2 years, but you MAY get to play at the program you really want to play for.

5. You're from a northern state and want to travel south. It's easier to get into a good southern JUCO program and then show yourself to the D1 southern schools, who will never come to see you up north (unless your the 2nd coming of the Babe or Bob Gibson).
