Me and Andrew Jones think alike. We both hate balls hit right at us, low line drives. So far they've been trouble for me. I can never tell whether to run in or run back or to the side. My instinct tells me to start in on a ball hit low, but twice I've had to run back and just missed the ball by 2 inches. If only I didn't start in. My next games I was gonna try not moving at all for about half a second and let the ball travel more out towards me so I can make a better judgement on the ballpath. Any thoughts?

You have to find someone who'll hit you a lot of line drives right at you. That is easier said than done because it isn't that easy to hit line drives all the time. Generally, you want your first step to be back on a ball hit right at you because the ball hit over your head is a double or triple while the ball hit in front of you is a single. The best thing is to see enough line drives that you learn to judge them fairly well.

No one judges every line drive hit at them correctly, you just have to do your best and practice, practice, practice.
