Jugs - max. range

I do not know what they publish as the max distance but I can tell you that I have used the Stalker in a press box behind home plate with coaches using Jugs next to me--the readings were pretty similar with the standard variation of 1 or 2 MPHS being constant

An older Jugs was being used to measure OF throws, from a distance of about 250'. It was not always getting a reading. And the readings were all lower than what was expected, pretty much across the board. So I was wondering if that might have been beyond its range. Doesn't really matter, more an item of curiosity.

The lower readings may be from the fact that the ball thrown from the outfield is released at an elevated angle.
The manuel that comes with the gun descibes the effect of angle (to the side) and the readings it provides. At a distance the higher angle would have a similar result

True, the angle does affect the reading since in reality a vector is involved. And while sometimes the angle effect is only considered in the horizontal plane, it holds true in the vertical plane as well.

The fact that the gun wasn't registering a reading at all some of the time made me wonder if it was at the edge of its range.
