Jugs Radar at Airport?

I'm hoping to bring my Jugs radar gun along as carry-on luggage to some out of state tournaments this year and was wondering if anyone has had any problems at the airports with this. Is there a big hassle going through airport security with it?

There's no way I'm going to put it in with my luggage as I've regularly have had bats stolen out of players bags and this would be too tempting a target to trust to the baggage handlers.

Whatever you do, just don't say it is a radar gun.

I can't imagine it would be a problem. Make sure you have a way to power it up in the security line. You may even want to print out some information for the Jugs website on your model just in case.

If you are worried, call your airline and ask how to properly handle it.

I have never had a problem or even questioned when I have brought my Jugs gun as a carry on item.

I carried a Stalker around last summer, through about five airport connections. It was kind of a hassle because it always looked 'suspicious' when it went through the x-ray machine and I always had to spend several minutes explaining what it was while they looked at everything in the case, I was always able to continue onto the plane with it.

The hardest part was trying to leave Korea with it. My Korean is very limited (as is the English of Korean security).
