They were pretty much the same. Every now and then, the jugs was 1 mph faster but never 2.

I've heard they were 2-3 mphs different but I have not seen that. Usually the difference I see is when one person is at more of an angle than the other. The greater the angle, the slower the gun registers. I believe this is call a "cosign effect"

It is the "cosine error." (Pause for chilling flashback to high school trig class.)
When there is no angle between the observer and the path of the pitch (pitch coming staright at you) the angle is 0, and cosine is 1, so velocity reading is correct as-is. Velocity reading on gun is reduced by cosine of angle as gun moves away from path of pitch.
Just to clarify "selling" something and "selling" something on the HSBBW. wvmtner PM'ed me asking about the "spam rules" on the HSBBW. (since I had deleted a "spam" post). He said he had a radar gun he wanted to sell and asked if he could post that on the HSBBW. Since this doesn't fit my description of spam I agreed that he could but also indicated the administrator has the final say-so in matters such as this. The administrator cautioned me that this could get out of hand. (and I agree) I'm closing this thread, not because it's a violation but simply because I don't think we need an ongoing discussion about it. Additional information can be obtained by a private message to wvmtner.
Thanks,
Fungo
