Junior Day is an opportunity for you to visit the school, meet the coaches and learn about the school's program. It's a marketing tool for coaches.

I am not a big beleiver in junior day unless it is close to home and affordable. In the overall scheme of things, it means very little unless you are very high on that coaches recruiting list.

Some coaches keep junior day invites to a selected few, others will invite in mass. My son only attended 1 junior day in state, about 60 in attendance. On one note, it was worth it, seeing the school, program meeting the HC coach, he definetly decided he was not interested.

If you decide not to attend, write or call the coach for a thank you for the invite.
