Junior Olympics age question

my understanding is that you can play in the tournament with an August 1, Birthday but one cannot qualify for team USA unless after the Jan. 1 date

All 89 birthdays are eligible for participation and to make the USA trials.

Any 88 birthdays must conform to the August 1 deadline in order to participate. These players are not eligible for USA selection.

There is a minimum number of (age eligible) players on your roster....not sure what that number is. It has changed each year. Call USA baseball and they will give you the specifics.

Also, your maximum roster size is 20 players.
