According to ESPN Stats Info the strike 3 call on Kemp in the 9th inning had a 0.00 percent chance of being called a strike based on history of that pitch.

He is a short dude, there was an article on fangraphs that short (and very tall) dudes have sometimes bad zones called up and down because the ump has an internal map what the zone is. For an average sized player (6'1 or so) that would have probably clipped the top of the zone or almost.
Another reason to get robot ump albeit that upper boundary would still be needed to be properly defined.
That batter is just barely taller than the catcher in his squat... perhaps there should be a standard minimum strike zone or else (to take things to extremes) there would likely be a statistical advantage to having one or two dwarves on the team. Also think the strike zone should not depend on how low a batter crouches...
Kemp is 5’6”.
