Seemed a bit slow so I thought I would share this with the board...just a parent doing some shameless sharing with the folks on the HSBBW.

Maybe others will pick up on this and brag a bit on their favorite players as well. I hope this doesnt "jinx" the kid.

Note: Scott is a Dallas area kid who played HS ball at Richardson Berkner.

WEATHERFORD – On the strength of a 10-run first
inning, the University of Science and Arts drilled
Southwestern Oklahoma 21-7 on the road Wednesday
afternoon. Led by a 5-for-5 performance by Scott Ylda,
USAO improved to 8-3-1 overall and improved its
winning streak to four games.

Ylda was batting a measly .600 coming into the game,
and the junior from Richardson, Texas, is now and
astronomical 20-of-30 at the plate for the season and
batting .667.

Thanks, Berkner Dad. How neat for Scott and I'm sure Pete and Sandra are so proud. My older son played with Scott back in the day (1998) on a Williamsport Northwest Garland Major league team. Great kid and family. I will pass this on to my son, who went the college football route.
Hey, nice win over Naaman and even with Haney pitching. What's the story on that game? That Garland/Berkner scrimmage a few weeks ago was the coldest athletic event, football or baseball, I've ever sat through here in Texas!!
