Just Announced: Premier Showcase League Tryouts: 16U/17U/18U

The 2012 Premier Showcase League is right around the corner. Games will take place on five dates beginning September 9. This year, all games will be played in the DFW metro. We are excited to announce that MLB scouts will be managing each team in the league. Games will take place at Quicktrip Park in Grand Prairie and select college venues in the area. College coaches will be in attendance.

Premier Baseball Academy will be hosting a free tryout on Sunday, August 5. The tryout will take place at the Plano facility at 7pm. If this time does not work, alternate arrangements can be made. The address to this facility is:

Please understand, I am asking with a sincere heart: why would someone come play in the PSL over the MSL?

I have a different question instead of divide and conquer why not unite and integrate both leagues ( MSA and PSL and get all of the best players) and take the best attributes from each league ( may not be possible or workable). Consolidation may also lower the overall costs, don't know this for sure but the corporate chieftains of america have been making this argument for years( not that I necessarily agree). This is another forumn called teams unite not necessarily on point to this post but it may be beneficial to this discussion.

I called and asked some question. Sounds like the MSL has done this. I was told they have 12 different organizations that are behind the MSL. Dbat Mustangs, Tigers, Frozen Ropes, Blacksox, Marshals, Stars, Titians, and about 5 more that was mentioned.

Exaggeration...more like 12 different organizations with one or more players involved in MSL

remember a handful of years ago when the mustang/dbat merger happened and the msl was the "best thing" ever and dbat went and called everyone elses players and then tried to recruit them for summer play...

msl was/is a top heavy league with some good cream at the top and watered down the other 75%...

now sam leaves and dbat is "open arms" for all the organizations to come play in msl as their own teams... funny how you go from bullies to best friends overnight.... too funny.

Sorry your wrong... The MSL started 3 years before the merger with D-BAT and Mustangs. Also we have been open arms every year. We called Logan 3 straight years and asked him to join the MSL. We also asked Tommy and Danny a number of times before he finally joined this year. We also had Bruce with the FT. Worth Cats with us two years in a row. We just finished the count we have kids from 26 organizations this year. Should be a great MSL.
