Leaving out your favorite team, if you were a player (you can pick your own position), and going to be traded, which team would you want to go to and why.

Diamondbacks -- I've just always liked AZ and the Southwest in general -- quality of life for the family.......I would by a big ranch up near Durango, CO, and commute to the ballpark in my own Ultra-Lite.
New York Yankees...Because I'd be on the biggest baseball stage in the world and have an owner that is willing to spend money to buy what he needs to maintain a competitive baseball team.
Padres...one of the most beautiful cities in one of the best climates in America.
After that...Red Sox...rabid fans, great sports town...hey, I could buy a snowblower there for you-know-who too! It beats shoveling!

Detroit........nothing else is even close. I would have a house, flanked by vacant lots, overlooking I-75 near old Tiger Stadium and the only thing I would have to check every day is if the burglar bars are still intact.

But, I do need to say that I attended the first night game this last year in Petco...and it drizzled from the 7th-9th inning. Had to leave the seats and get under cover...where they happened to serve some very cold beer.
Was with my daughter's boyfriend who seemed awfully nervous the whole night. 
Turns out he had reason. After the game, he asked for my approval to marry her. He was really chagrined when I told him she came as a package deal and her Mom and Dad would be loving to move to LaJolla.

Cardinals. Best fans I've ever seen. To have that many people appreciate players like Eckstein for just raw hustle. That's great.

For me it would have to be either Arizona or San Diego, two of my favorite cities. Both have great baseball and wonderful things to do in the outdoors. Besides, I really like their teams even though I am a Giants fan.

La-jo-lla is how we pronounce it back east. La-HOY-Ya is a beautiful place. I just spent three days there about three weeks ago and they have a wonderful walking park along the beach. I have been to many cities, San Diego has the best weather I have ever experienced. It is just as bbscout describes. That said, if I were the man, I pick one of the Indians, A's, or Pirates, which are the three teams I have followed in my lifetime. Hopeless idealist I guess.
