Posters will get one warning, then you are gone.

This is not a democracy, and I don't care what your opinion on the matter is.

I will not tolerate people using this forum for venting, agendas, or attacks at either persons or organizations.

You are not entitled to free speech here, it is a privilege granted by MnMom, owner of this site. Abuse your privilege, you will be gone.

Don't bother to create a second account to anonymously criticize others. I will take the posts down and have you banned. For you, it will be an exercise in futility.

Be nice and disagree respectfully, please.

For the 95% of you that do that already, thank you, you make this the most interesting state forum on the site, and I'm sorry to have taken up your time reading this.

For the other 5%, your antics will be dealt with swiftly and decisively.

I agree also. I would like to hear the exchange of opinions as long as an individual player is not being singled out or embarrassed in any way.

CPLZ, some people might view your opinions on high school coaches and the school's role in disciplining athlethes who violate policies as controversial, but we still welcome and respect your thoughts on the topics.
IMO, CPLZ's board rules have very little to do with an individual player being singled out. This happens very rarely as far as I can see.

In the past couple of years this forum has turned into an anonymous chat room where anyone can post lies, innuendo and reputation damaging remarks with no worry about consequences.

How about these "first time posters" who show up just to slam someone or something in an attempt to carry the company line that they're obviously part of? Very bad form and not much of a lesson being imparted to young players.

If the volume of posts drops as a result of the moderators' stated set of guidelines, there will hopefully be more posts that might actually help a player or his parents on their baseball journey. That is exactly what the founder of this website intended. Respectful dialogue and discussion should never be censored. JMO.
CPLZ..if you really want to clean up this site, which I'm all in favor of, let's do away with all of the stage names and aliases and require full disclosure of who is behind the safety and comfort of the computer screen...that's where the problem lies. While you may not have the specific authority or wherewithall to mandate such disclosure, I would suggest that you strongly encourage it. That way, those who continue to post under suspicious circumstances will be ignored from the get-go. I will assist you in this process by further identifying myself and challenge all others to do the same.

Bravescoach = Rich Synek, father of Brett (Boomer)and Lindsay Synek who are both sophomore starters on their respective varsity baseball/softball teams at Glenbrook North High School.
The good people of this site deserve a better explanation.

I have no problem with controversy, disagreement, strong opinions, or even heated debate. I would hate to stifle any respectful exchange.

There are those however, who come here for no other reason than to attack persons or organizations, and it is to those I issued the warning.

Because recently I have pulled a number of posts quickly that were obvious attacks, most people here haven't seen examples of the offenses I speak. Most of these were people who either have been banned in the past and made a new account, or regulars that make a second account so they can make attacks anonymously.

95% of the people here don't need me to moderate most of the time. Most moderations are simple changes where a well meaning poster crossed a line, and it's not a big deal. These comments are not directed to those. The hard line is designed to put the extreme abusers on notice and let them know what a waste of time it will be for them to try and pull their unsavory stunts.

I apologize to those people who are the great contributors of this site, if they feel any of this has been directed at them, it has not.

Party on Garth.

P.S. The poster, 2009 baseball is life...his opinion was two posts that were pulled, designed to trash a tournament for no other reason than its sponsorship. His opinion was destructive, and those won't be tolerated.
