Recently we had some heated discussion regarding ladies sports in college---I have to tell you that I used to be a huge chauvinist but living where I live I have changed---Within a 60 mile radius of my house I have three ladies Division I basketball teams in the Top 25--UCONN at #1, St. John's (my alma mater) at #24 and the University of Hartford at # 25--University of Hartford is ranked for the first time in school history---it is fun basketball to attend as well as watch on TV--The UCONN ladies are absolutely unreal.

Go Ladies !!!!

I couldn't agree more.......

I'm not far from UVA and I go as often as I can to see the lady Cav's basketball team.

Earlier this year I watched UVA, they were Top 20 ranking, play Tennessee who was ranked Top 20 as well. Paid $5.00 per ticket, general admission and sat about 25 rows from the floor at the John Paul Jones arena which is a great venue. Really you just can't beat it and it was great ball...

I also travel down to watch UVA's fast pitch team as well, it's great and another bargain at a brand new facility..

Maya was and still is amazing. Like YoungGunDad, I live fairly close to CHHS and our school is the "other" school in the city; saw her play during HS and it just didn't seem fair at times that she was a HS player. Broke the heart of some SEC coaches when she headed to UConn. Heck of a program CHHS had several years ago. Their 2010 baseball team is expected to very seriously contend for Region 7AAAAA which is considered to be one of the top AAAAA regions in GA.
