I am a Kaneland alum, and am very sad to hear of the departure of Kip Rogers. I have known Kip for a number of years and have found him to be nothing but a gentleman and a solid baseball coach. He has the kids interest at heart and after all, that is what it is all about. He has built the Kaneland Kinghts into a solid competitive team. I hope some other school can take advantage of what Kip has to offer.

Who is the new Kaneland coach? What is his background?

Just out of curiousity, does the dismissal of Coach Rogers have anything to do with the amount of players leaving the team every year? Last year I believe they only had 11.

I am the Kaneland freshman coach from last year, and I know he was under scrutiny due to the language he used with the players and his hard nose rules, but for this to happen coming into a year in which they could be very successful is surprising.

Kaneland can and should compete to win conference this year with the talent and dedicated players they have in place.

I would appreciate anymore information regarding this situation, and will pass along any information I receive.

Former Kaneland LHP Casey Crosby and Detroit Tiger was up to 99 MPH on Thursday in Lakeland.

Lets hope he stays together, he has a chance to be special.
