Personally, I like the move--while Kendall may not be in his prime, the Cubs wont get someone in his prime for what they were willing to part with.

By the way, Pinella was brilliant yesterday. First he sniffed out the squeeze. Then he sent Theriot in the 8th allowing Lee's grounder to get through. Then, he stelas Lee on Ramirez's game winning double.

Too often managers and coaches get too much credit both positive and negative, but this was certainly a case where Sweet Lou had a big impact on the victory.

I'm not so sure about any big trades coming. This seems to be a very nice trade, not giving up a big leaguer and getting cash to offset Kendall's big salary. I don't know if Hendry can add salary with the negotiations ongoing with several ownership groups.

10:00 PM. Not exactly a stellar debut for Kendall. Nice game by Zito, but if I was the guy who will be paying him $120+Million, I'd be slitting my wrists.
