Congratulations to Clayton Kershaw for his great efforts this summer in GCL. I enjoyed every game Clayton pitched and was also impressed with his ability.

Nice Avatar OP Smile By-the-way, for those who don't know OP, he was the Baltimore Orioles first pick in a baseball draft back a few years.
Quite an accomplishment and looking for great things from his son in the years to come. peace, Shep
"he was the Baltimore Orioles first pick in a baseball draft back a few years."

Shep,

It was more than a few years back, it was a lot of few years back!!! 25 years ago!!!

It's quite a great thing for Clayton to go from a HS senior pitching in the playoffs 3 months ago, to now being one of the top 5 prospects for the Los Angeles Dodgers. That's incredible as far as I'm concerned.

Then there's Andrew Miller who was pitching for North Carolina in June in the CWS and is already in the big leagues. That's incredible as well.

Both of these kids have a bright future in pro ball.

Those were the days.................! Smile
OLD PITCHER

You are being modest. No matter how many years ago, we're talking the "first pick" of the great Baltimore Orioles who are very selective in who they choose as number one pick. I know because I scouted for them for 11 years in Ga.

Kershaw has definitely made tremendous progress in his rookie professional season and deserves much credit as well as the LA Dodgers player development personnel, coaches and scouts.

Have a great day OP and the Great State of Texas. peace, Shep
