As reported on the ISU baseball website. Former Downers Grove South standout Kevin Dubler was named "Missouri Valley Conference Player of the week."
"Dubler finished the weekend series at the UTA Invitational in Arlington, Texas, with a .400 (6-for-15) batting average to go along with two doubles, a triple, five runs scored and his first home run of the season in three starts behind the plate. In Saturday's win over New Mexico, the Downers Grove, Ill., native was 3-for-5 with a triple, a stolen base, one RBI and three runs scored. In addition, Dubler was solid in Sunday's contest with No. 7 Nebraska, as he hit his first home run of the season and his fifth in his career at ISU to go along with a double and two runs scored."
Not a bad week for a great kid.
