A great day for Sully. Clemson loses a great pitching coach and a tremendous recruiter.

His name was floated as a possible name in the Tennessee search.
I'm glad Florida has already taken care of that. That'll eliminate Florida and Tennessee competing for the same candidates.

That didn't take long. He out-recruited the Gators in their own state for years. Sully could turn them around very fast.
Doesn't surprise me at all. Sully has built a great reputation and whenever you heard his name mentioned during games you could tell it wouldn't be long before somebody grabbed him.

That's too bad for Clemson, but it's great news for Florida and hopefully for Philip Dean, who was one of my favorites in the draft this year.
After a week of adjusting to the knowledge that our coaches were gone and wondering at the uncertainty of the course ahead, I find myself quite excited about the hiring of Coach O'Sullivan as the HC at UF. Genius #1 is encouraged at the catching experience and knowledge he brings. That, plus his history at recruiting Florida, his track record with developing players, and his length of time learning his craft with Coach Legget (arguably among the very best in the game today) give me much cause for optimism at the future of Florida Baseball.
