With all the injuries they've suffered lately, the Mets have called up a slew of guys, and one of them is Flint Hill 2016 OF Khalil Lee.

Khalil played for several travel programs, but was active with our Va. Cardinals 2016 team as a solid 2-way guy (LHP/OF) in fall of 2014 when that team won the championship with an 8-0 run at Perfect Game's fall WWBA 17u event in Ft. Myers.  He committed initially to Va. Tech, but later changed his commitment to Liberty, before actually signing with the Royals out of the 2016 draft (3rd round).  Khalil was traded to the Mets this past off-season.

Most fans have probably seen the unfortunate footage of Kevin Pillar taking a fastball to the face last night.  What you probably didn't see was that Khalil entered the game as Pillar's replacement.  He struck out in his only AB in his debut, but looks to get more playing time given the opportunity presented by the Mets' predicament.
