How do coaches feel about kids transferring to another school and then coming back to play for you?

I’m not quite understanding the purpose of the question. Is your assumption, every time a kid transfers it’s because of something having to do with sports?
Teams and coaches are usually very forgiving... IF you have the ability to help the team. if not, it's not really going anywhere.
Yeah, need more info.
Don't know how relevant but we had a few kids quit for a year and try to come back the next. Depending on the issue, we would be open to giving a second chance but have a sit-down and lay out clear expectations. No margin for error. They would have to show willingness to do a little extra... earn their way back in to the group that has been working together all along. For those I'm thinking of, it worked out for one but not for a few others.
Most of the time it has to do with the parent. If the kid was respectful, was a good teammate, and cared while he was here I won't hold it against him. Honestly though, a lot does have to do with whether he can help.
I know of one case and it ended well.
Kid dominated on his weak private school team as a freshman in a very weak conference. Transferred to his local public school as a sophomore and then transferred back to the private school for his junior and senior seasons. They were glad to get him back.
