Nate Kirby, a 2012 grad of James River HS and a Va. Cardinals alumnus as well, just completed a no-hitter at Pitt. Kirby struck out 18 and walked only one in a truly dominant performance. Pitt had only 2 base runners, the other coming on an infielder's throwing error.

If you missed the telecast on ESPN3.com, you can still see it on replay, and in fact you can watch it quickly by speeding through UVA's offensive innings and watching just Kirby's portions.

Kirby typically throws a slider but O'Connor referred to it in his comments post-game as a curve. Whatever it was, it was breaking hard and fast, shoulders to toes, all game long and obviously it was unhittable. With the fastball and change to go with that, it's quite a package.
