I will admit, for some reason it kind of bothered me when I first heard a girl was on one of the rosters.  These are supposed to be many of the very best teams and players in the country.  Guess I thought a girl could not compete at this level and this was just some sort of a publicity stunt. Or maybe we would see some monster sized girl that looked much stronger than the boys.

i couldn't have been more wrong. This was a nice looking, average sized girl and she was extremely talented.  Not just talented for a girl, but more so than most boys her age. She was more polished, had better mechanics, and her arm worked better than most any boy we see. She showed excellent command of the strike zone.

This girl is really good!!! I would guess she will end up throwing low, maybe even mid 80s. She  was peaking close to 80mph in Georgia as a 16 year old lefty. Realistically, I doubt many DI colleges will go after her, but I have no doubt about her ability to win a lot of games at the college level.

Thanks to Sarah, I learned something new, once again. I hope she realizes her goal of pitching at the college level.  It will be no publicity stunt. Everyone who saw her pitch in Georgia will understand.
