As the 2015 summer tournament season starts to wind down I just wanted to take a second to say "Thanks" to all the tournament directors, staffs, umpires, and college coaches who made playing games possible. My father ran adult events for many years and it is a thankless job, so much happens behind the scenes that goes un-noticed.
A special thanks to Mickey and Anne Roberts...their College Series events throughout Virginia are a blessing to those families who simply do not have the resources to pay the rising player fees, travel expenses, and still keep their households going. Our squad has finished its second year with Mickey and Anne as our primary tournament hosts and as our players enter their recruitment windows it looks like we will have multiple players moving on to the next level to continue their playing career. For those of you continuing into Fall...best wishes for a successful and healthy Fall season.
