Does anyone know if a portable L-screen exists? I mean one that would be collapsible and fit in the back of an SUV. I am running into the problem with my 14 year old of throwing hard enough and accurately enough from 60'6". If I move up closer I risk getting my head taken off with a comebacker. With the batting cage you can't get a feel of where the ball is going. I'm sure others here have run into this problem. What has been your solution to this problem?

The best one I have found is made by a little company out of North Carolina called Super Nets. I think the URL is www.supernetsusa.com. I have used the "collapsible" JUGS screens and they are a royal pain in the posterior. They do not collapse nearly as easily as they would have you believe. And, since they are galvanized, you just about need a rubber mallet to disassemble it if you leave it sitting up for a few days.

The Supernets screen doesn not have the tethers inside the tubes like the JUGS. Instead it just snaps together. It is made out of aircraft aluminum so it is a lot easier to assemble/disassemble. It also fits into a bag that I bought at the Army-Navy store. It is slightly larger than the JUGS, but it will fit into the trunk of a Grand Prix or Grand Marquis. It may be $10 more expensive than the JUGS but it is well worth the money.

Couldn't agree more. Get rid of those little buttons for starters. Then spray the ends of the tubes with silicone to make assemble/disassemble easier.
I've probably pinched the hell out of my fingers a thousand times on those wonderful buttons.
