I know this is a baseball site but I have to give a "well done" to Lacey Waldrop a Thomas Dale Alum for being named USA Softball National Player of the Year. http://www.seminoles.com/sport...c-rel/052714aae.html Florida State is heading to the World Series.

Outstanding athlete from our area. I saw her pitch in high school 5 years ago without knowing anything about her or softball....Dale was playing Bird. She was dominant. The best the hitters could hope for was to foul something off.

It is great to see she has found success at the next level and the level beyond that. Kudos to her and her family.
