I would Love to attend and Chat away...alas,I have a class on Mon.nites...Yes ladies,at this late date,I have started back to college.I hope to be a full fledged Elem.PE teacher in a couple of years. Now their are three freshmen in our house...John Wayne(college)..Me(college),and my Beautiful Daughter,Kelci.(HS)

Congrats on going for your college degree! As you may know, I am an elementary PE teacher and I really love it. It can be a very rewarding career...good luck with that Algebra.

Wonder how many "lurkers" we'll have!

I'll TRY not to be indisposed...at least for awhile! A week later and hubby will be out of town...plan another for sometime from the 25th-27th.

You ladies seem like you have known each other for years! I don't get to post often and feel like an outsider, yet also feel like one of you when I do get a chance to visit the message board.

I would certainly put the date in my book to get the chance to chat, however, I'm in the same boat as Duke's Mom...only I'm going for the 7-12 grades in math! (Yea, I keep a scorebook of every game I attend...middle school, high school, college, minor league, major league, whatever!)

Someone told me that this morning on "Good Morning America" Diane Sawyer was outside in NYC and threw a glass of water into the air. It crystallized into ice BEFORE it hit the ground!

I have one very funny experience in a chat room....I heard that Curt Schilling "most likely" would be accepting an offer from the Sox. The fact that he had gone onto the Sox/MLB message board and the Sons of Sam Horn message board was the top news story in Boston.
So.........I tried to register on the SOSH board <because it is an informative Sox site> but there was a huge waiting list to become a member. I was able to register, but not allowed to post. As a registered member you can chat...so I enetered the chat room to "listen" to what the other members were saying about CS being in the chat room.

It was very fast, the language was fairly horrendous and then CS showed up to chat and the moderator said some people need to leave to make room for Curt <the chat only fits 25 people>...So I got booted!!

It was fun. Ours will be too.......

Just a quick reminder that the first (hopefully not last) HSBaseballWeb 'Ladies Night Out' chat is TODAY at 6pm Eastern (which is 3pm for those of us on the west coast). Throw a pizza in the oven for the fam, pour a glass of your favorite - (I know it's only 3pm out here, but I'm planning to act like it's New Year's Eve, and celebrate through the timezones ), boot up the computer, shut the door (or the work/home equivilant) and come on in!
Chill has some good topics suggested, and I'm sure there are many others. For example:

• Where are we all from and where do our kids play currently

Oh Shoot! I CAN'T believe I forgot about the chat! I thought about it at 3:00 this afternoon and then it completely flew out of my mind. Hope everyone had fun.....can we try it again another time?
