Lassen Community College

A few boys my son played with several years ago went to Lassen. I never heard anything from them about their experience. But my son's coach referred to it as "that boot-camp JC". Don't really know what that's supposed to mean.... Maybe they're really tough?

I have heard that coach Yonan is tough. He has
been there for many years. There is nothing
wrong with that to prepare a young man for the
rigors of every day life.

I attended J Robinson's Intensive Wrestling Camp at Lassen JUCO in Susanville, California over the past two years. While I was there, I asked some baseball players about their experiences at Lassen. Since it is such a small junior college, and Susanville isn't an exciting place at all, the players told me that the school and surrounding areas focus them into baseball and their academics. They, as well, pointed out that coach Yonan is a tough guy, but they said all the work is worth it, and they have a great time. Also, if you're an outdoors person, Susanville in the place for you.
