Does anyone here know of any success stories for unsigned seniors who attended "Last Chance" showcases?

Have heard some good newsfrom others in regards to JUCO's
They were mostly looking for pitchers.
A senior from our HS went to an unsigned senior event last December. He was seen by a D1 who likely had never seen him before....and was committed within a week. He was a 6'4 RHP throwing mid-80's who had never played anything other than Legion ball. Really limited exposure up until that showcase....but as they say "it only takes one". He's in line to be a starter next spring as a freshman

May I ask which last chance showcase is ? The PG Uncommitted West Showcase or other showcase?
My son attended a "Last Chance" showcase in January of his senior year. He is a MIF. He had a good but not great showing and was contacted by 4 schools of various levels (NAIA, D2 and D1) at or immediately following. One of the schools (D2) was a good fit, HC came to watch son play and he committed after a campus visit. All schools talked about having roster spots available but no money was offered/available. Son is still at school and happy so it worked for us.
Camp was by Trosky on the west coast.
