Been an interesting year in the capital with newcomer Glen Allen. They've had their share of upsets.
Once again, I would like to know yall's opinions on who will make the all district teams in this district.

Sophomore RHP from Hanover, Derek Casey, should be a first teamer I would think. Unless someone decides to give it to a senior just because he's a senior.
I haven't seen this young man pitch but I have seen alot of Capital District games... How many pitchers do they take? Surely Thomas of LD, Bulka of Atlee, and the #1 of Hanover would be the leaders in the pitching catagory
Casey is 5-0 with an ERA safely under 1.00. It's been a few starts since he gave up any runs, earned or unearned. He just won a pitcher's duel with Bolka the other day, 2-0 I think it ended up.
No slight to any others, but it's a tough resume to top.
Usually there are 2 first team all-district pitchers and 2 more 2nd team. Plus you might see others get in as "utility" guys, which can happen with a guy like Thomas who is also a pretty strong hitter.

I think Michael Thomas should with out a doubt get either first team pitcher or utility. He is a great all around player.

Learned the Hanover pitchers name is Childress. He pitched a great game vs LD last night, winning 2-0. Thomas was equally as impressive for LD. Both of these guys pitch against the top Capital teams, and remain impressive. Hence they are my 2 for All conference pitchers. Maybe they can name 4 and make it easy on themselves
Chris Childress, P/OF Hanover, and Michael Thomas, P/OF/1B Lee Davis are the two clear favorites in the Captial District for POY. Both kids are great competitors and leaders for their respective teams. That being said, Childress and Thomas have now gone head to head on the mound twice this season and Childress has come out on top Both times... You couldn't go wrong with either of these kids, but I believe Childress will win it.
