Hey Folks,
Its been a while since my last post, and I thought I would post an update. As a refresher,
My son is a 2011 LHP who just recently graduated HS. Just about the begining of August 2010 he had an eppihany that he would like to play college ball. Prior to his Senior HS year he had never tried out for the HS Team. He worked very hard, had pitching instruction, played fall ball, particpated in a long toss program, took part in about 5 fall and winter showcase events. He garnered some D2, D3 and jouco interest.

He actually made the HS squad, worked hard, did not miss a practice, but did not see any playing time with the exception of 1 inning during Senior appreciation day, when he came in and struck out the side(true story). The team went 9-11 and did not beat a team with a winning record. For his efforts the HS coach did not even reccomend him for the local summer ball teams. Fortunately he found a place to play summer ball and did very well.

Fast forward to present: He decided to go with the jouco team. He is working his butt off academically and athletically and as far as I can tell he is enjoying every minute of it. He appears to be pitching well against more seasoned players. So his story continues and I could not be more proud of him and his accomplishments thus far.

I would like to say thanks to HSBW for all the great advice and well wishes we recieved along the way.
