Lawson State CC?

I don't have any information about Lawson State, but from looking at their roster at 26 guys, I would assume they do not bring in a huge number of guys. There are some JUCO's around my area that bring in anyone with interest and give them a shot, some 80+ and cut to 35 for the travel roster. I would say there is a decent shot to walk on at Lawson State. If you haven't already, try giving the coach a call and leave a voicemail if need be.

At my sons JC they had 4 openings on the pitching staff and brought in 38 pitchers plus had 4 or so guys that were redshirted the year before.  Classic non teacher/over recruiter coach.  They have 85 or so guys that year in total trying out.  

I wouldn't read too much in to how many are on the roster.  When my son attended a JuCo, there were 50+ during the fall tryouts and all but two had signed commitments.  The two walk on's did not make the team.  Through attrition (grades, injuries, disillusionment, red shirt, etc) the spring roster was down to 35.  Travel roster was 25 - basically what the bus would hold (28 total - 25 players and 3 coaches).

BHL15 - I'd keep trying to contact the coach though time is getting short.  I would imagine the fall semester begins in about a month's time.
