Congrats to Martin. Bell shouldn't have been there anyway after faking a play on the ball against East. I guess that stuff does eventually catch up with you.

You are correct Bell shouldn't have been there! They shouldn't have beat Legacy but they did. Probably shouldn't have beat Plano West, but they did! Maybe they shouldn't have beat Plano East but they did! Shouldn't have beat Martin one game but they did! Maybe Bell was just better than you thought Gooch
and Sniff my butt! Yes the left fielder should be shot for being smart enough to draw the attention away from the home run but the umpire is the one that missed it dumb a#*. I guess a pitcher shouldn't fake a throw to third and then throw to first, that's sneaky. I guess Gaylord Perry shouldn't have thrown a spit ball, but he did! Hey Gooch and Sniff my butt maybe you shouldn't be writing on these boards if you can't use words properly! Deek isn't even a word!

Deek or deke
Noun:
A deceptive movement or feint that induces an opponent to move out of position.

Technically sniff the gooch is correct.
This is crazy! Any body that makes it to the 4th round of the playoffs has nothing to apologize for.

To make it that far requires a team to have talent, good coaching, and most of all...good fortune.

Teams that make it that far do not do it by accident. There are sometimes things in baseball that can not be explained. I know this frustrates many of you, but its true. We all giggle when Ron Washington says, "that's how baseball go..." but truer words have never been spoken.

Remember, we are talking about a playoff system in which a coin flip before the series even steps foot on the field can determine the outcome. You don't think good fortune is needed...think again! If my buddy at Marcus doesn't lose his flip for one game against SLC, they aren't where they are...good fortune. Then I believe SLC won a flip with Flo Mo...good fortune. Why are they still playing? Great players and great coaching of course, but some good fortune never, never hurts!
As for umpiring...I coach 1B for the FW Cats and we had a HR taken away from us last night. Home plate umpire said ball curved in front of the pole...clearly it went over it as we have an extension on the top of our foul poles that goes out into fair territory with the word "CATS" on it. It went over the "T" but what can you do? Our manager Curtis Wilkerson was ejected for arguing. Didn't accomplish anything, call wasn't changed. Fortunately for us it did not cost us the game.

I go into a game with the thought in mind that the umpiring will not get every call right. This way if they do I'm pleasantly surprised...if not, then there is no reason to get upset.
