Yeah, the pitching machine donation........not going real well! I know there are dozens and dozens across the USA sitting in sheds and basements and garages......gotwood, can you do a house-to-house search in the Chicagoland area? Use that typing finger to press some doorbells for me?

Speaking of glove lacing, how many of you used to (or still do) chew on the lace-ends a bit? I love that taste! Sensorially speaking, baseball to me is fresh grass and hot dog smells and the taste of leather lacing.

and to glove lacing.....several games I have grabbed my sons glove to try and lace it using my teeth and tweezers--in a pinch (pardon the pun) --the taste of the leather -combined with dirt, sweat and sheer terror that I would not get it laced before next inning is something I will never forget---love it!

I'm sorry! We had one. But we traded it in to Play it Again for a weight bench....which is now adorned with clothes, sliding shorts and cups. Go figure.

hmmm... all this talk about donations and selling stuff makes me ask:

Have we a thread about offers of places to stay?

As in, let's say I live in one of the Junior Olympics or College Super Regionals locations. (I don't, in reality).

And let's say we have extra space at our home (we do, actually) and would like to offer it to other HSBBWers.

Do we have such a forum or thread? Or, does that violate some policy or safety aspect of our membership?

Also, welcome Cherie - I would like to see your necklaces and think that's a great idea you have there.
