Heard on the news that the Yanks are interested in speaking to Leo and since Mel is now gone he may get picked up? Thoughts on this?

Do you guys realize he is grossly underpaid? $220,000 a year ?

That's true I remember reading an article detailing the transition of power from George to his family. He has lots of sons, daughters and sons-in-law around Tampa with titles in the organization. Lots of chiefs, not many indians.

It will be interesting to see what the 2006 Yankees look like. Will Cashman return? Torre speaks today for the first time. Their big money pitchers did poorly but Small and Chicon were money in the second half.

In mid-August, at a local community college, the Rockies were having a tryout. I was fortanate to watch several local prospects, however the best part was sitting in the dugout with Perlozzo, whose young son was taking ground balls in the infield. I knew that Sam and Leo had some history together, yet when talk became whether Perlozzo's manager's job would become permanent, the discussion was about the health of Ray Miller and who would Sam like to have coaching his pitchers. Bottom Line: The new Oriole GM and Perlozzo, would love to have Leo wear orange and black.....at @ $150K per yr that the Braves pay Leo now, a substantial raise would be in play (ie $200K-$250K)

Stay tuned!

They have sweet tea in New York City 24 hours a day.

It's $7.95 a glass plus city and state tax plus a City of NY water reclamation fee of $1.00 per glass. Refills extra. Smile

I beg to differ. They have Long Island Iced Tea in NY.

It costs about $10 - and you can only drink 2 of them. Anymore after that - and they carry you out. Wink

Now that's a funny one. Had a couple of days to get away during the All-Star break in July, so I surprised the pretty bride with a couple of days off in Ocean City, MD ~25 steps from the boardwalk, near an old favorite watering hole. With the ladies being beach frisky, it was a LI Ice Tea for me, as the HR Hitting Contest began. And before Mr Pujols was done, I was on #3 Ice Tea, and well done. It was the longest 25 steps back the next morn and for the morning Bloody Mary!

Regards
