Let's get it started

We still haven't started our bobsled season yet...it won't be long now!

First practice Jan. 29th. Son sophmore trying out for Varsity. Can not wait for season to start no matter the outcome of the try out. Both myself and son can not wait for opening day of Stanford baseball.

Ours gets started on the 15th of February. Little over a month and I'm biting nails.

We don't officially start until Feb 15, but the Varsity hopefuls have been meeting informally after school to run, long toss, and get ready. Having a school fundraiser tomorrow for the team. The gears are moving.

It was 70 degrees this past weekend... just right for a game! Can't wait!

Here in Nebraska the HS tryouts won't even be until the end of February or early March. There is only so much fun to be had in the garage.

You know what's really funny? I'm sitting here thinking about being on the verge of the start of the season, for my son his 1st in D1 college ball ... and the vision that popped into my head was watching him play 5-yearold T-ball, little munchkins running all over the place, and looking out over right field at the LL 'Major' field seeing those BIG 11/12 yearolds playing serious ball and thinking "some day he'll be playing on the BIG field". Talk about juxtaposition!

I'm anxious to see my first D1 game, hopefully get the opportunity to watch his first start on the hill sometime this season, and I'll be looking out over right field hoping he gets the chance to keep living his dream.

We will be in Hawaii in two weeks for sons first game. Pretty darn excited.
