We have a friend that needs a pitching coach for his LH son in Jacksonville. Thanks for any references anyone can provide.

I never understood why there are seperate right handed and left handed pitching coaches. Can anybody elaborate?
And if you check Steven Ellis' site, there is a page for locating pitching coaches.
EC I'm in the Jacksonville area and I have 2 very high recommendations for a coach.
Rick Wilkins, former Chicago Cub catcher who was one of 2 guys who caught Maddux's first Cy, he has coached my son for right at a decade (PM me I'll give you his number...he may know something about lefties..hes caught Randy Johnson and Jamie Moyer.
Bob Shepherd, pitching coach for UNF, he does lessons but he isn't cheap..but he is well worth it, he's worked with my son since he's been at UNF (PM me I'll give you his number too..or you can get it off of UNF's site).
Both have serious connections, Rick has a very solid Travel squad (18 and under and I think 13-15 Travel) that usually participates in the World Wood Bat Championships in Atlanta and the Sunshine State games here in state..as well as a few of the Perfect Game events (Ft Meyers for example).
Stevens site has the list of NPA certified guys also..I don't think we have any around here though.

My son has had both LH and RH pitching coaches and even though the RH ones have helped, it seems that a LH pitching coach is able to work through some of the detail things that are specific to LH pitchers. Pickoffs, ball movements, approaches to batters, etc.
