Life in the minors by Garrett Broshuis

I don't know why, but I love reading about the everyday lives of minor league players. The non-prospect diaries on baseball america's website are awesome as well.

I enjoy reading them too. I think that you have to have some sense of humor in this profession.

My son had us hysterically laughing one night, relaying some stories passed down by his "skipper".

He got a kick out of the non prospect's view on bucket duty, and laughed with a "so true".

Pitcher's sometime get labeled "crazy" because of the weird things they come up with while sitting hours through a game. Seed spitting contests, spitting for distance contests and largest bb gum bubbles occurs nightly (just to name a few of some of the activities you might be familiar with ).

It's not an easy way of life, you have to learn to make the best of it.
